  • Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR)
    The office of Corporate and Foundation Relations works with administrators, faculty, and development to provide expertise, services and tools to connect the university with the corporate and foundation community.

  • Equipment Insurance Savings Program
    The EIS Program offers 25% savings on any equipment maintenance that is covered under the program while allowing departments to choose which vendor will perform the maintenance and repair. 
  • eRAP (Electronic Research Administration Program)
    A campus-wide initiative to implement systems and tools that support improved management by departmental personnel and central offices of the sponsored research lifecycle.
  • eMTA (Online Material Transfer Request System)
    An online resource that streamlines the process of submitting material transfer requests.

  • Financial Analysis Office
    Responsible for the development and negotiation of indirect cost rate proposals, including analyses of overhead data, evaluation of alternative cost allocation methods, and implementation of campus procedures to ensure compliance with OMB Circular A-21 and other relevant Federal regulations and University policies.
  • Gift Processing
    The Office of Gift Acceptance and Policy Administration is the delegated authority  to accept, record, and receipt all charitable contributions to UC San Diego and the UC San Diego Foundation and is responsible for ensuring the integrity of gift data recorded and stored in its donor database for the purpose of donor, departmental, and institutional reporting.
  • Government Research Relations
    The Government Research Relations (GRR) unit supports and promotes UCSD’s mission of research, teaching, and public service through proactive engagement with the legislative and executive branches of government. GRR is a service unit designed to help the campus carry out its greater missions by providing efficient discourse with legislative and regulatory bodies on topics of importance to the research enterprise.

    The Graduate Division is the central resource for all matters related to graduate education at UC San Diego.
  • Human Research Protections Program
    Responsible for review of all UCSD research involving human subjects. The office assists researchers in complying with federal, state and University policies regarding experimentation involving human subjects, and oversees the review and conduct of research conducted by federally registered Institutional Review Boards(IRBs).

  • Office of Innovation and Commercialization
    Responsible for protecting, managing and licensing the intellectual property of UC San Diego, including inventions in the biomedical, life science and physical sciences sectors, copyright-protected materials such as software and images, and tangible research materials. Manages the transfer of university technologies by assessing the market demand, protecting university inventions through patent prosecution, and licensing intellectual and/or tangible property rights to companies.

    The Office of Research and Graduate Studies (ORGS) is a resource for UC researchers and administrators in research policy, funding for systemwide programs, technology transfer, and graduate education. We work to build UC-wide partnerships, help shape effective policies and provide a strong voice nationally for research and graduate education on behalf of UC.

  • Research Policy Analysis and Coordination (RPAC)
    Provides guidance and implementation assistance to campuses and other stakeholders regarding the development, interpretation and implementation of UC policies and external rules relating to the conduct of academic research. RPAC coordinates research policy issues on behalf of the system to support and advance research at the University of California's campuses and National Labs.
