National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) Founded in 1959, NCURA is an organization of individuals with professional interests in the administration of sponsored programs (research, education and training), primarily at colleges and universities. They offer professional development and other resources of interest to research administrators.
Southern California Higher Education Recruitment Consortium (HERC) The Southern California HERC is composed of a diverse group of public and independent schools, colleges, and universities. Member representatives include faculty, staff, human resources professionals, institutional leaders, and faculty relations experts. The group provides a free web-based search engine that includes faculty and staff job listings at all member institutions. This search engine is free and available to anyone seeking employment in higher education.
Western Association of College and University Business Officers (WACUBO) WACUBO offers business officers in the western region opportunities to develop professionally, to identify solutions for issues affecting higher education, and to share their expertise with their colleagues. WACUBO is one of four regional associations (Central, Eastern, Southern, Western) making up the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO).
The IRC is a resource for international activities and provides a framework for conducting college and university activities abroad. It is a project of NACUBO.
SRA International A nonprofit founded in 1967, the Society of Research Administrators International is dedicated to the education and professional development of research administrators working in varied organizational settings as well as the advancement of research administration as a profession around the world. The society has approximately 5,000 members who work in research administration at hospitals, universities, nonprofits, and at the federal government. Most are U.S.-based.
Academic Business Administrators (ABA) An organization composed of the administrative heads (MSOs and Business Officers) of UC San Diego units reporting to the Senior Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs. The group meets regularly to exchange information and to discuss a broad range of issues pertaining to the provision of administrative and business services in an academic environment.
